Oakland International and Austrian based transport operator Roswel, have confirmed their collaboration, in a move set to deliver significant new retail opportunities for European food producers and manufacturers.
Oakland International’s proven track record for export development, working with a variety of business partners, has achieved significant business growth and fostered a genuine desire to build partnerships for mutual business benefit, which they now aim to replicate with Roswel across Eastern Europe and increase the existing number of European suppliers sending product in to the UK, whilst delivering a route for Irish and UK suppliers and producers to service Eastern Europe.
Oakland International MD, Dean Attwell, stated: “Roswel is a great company with great people, and we are delighted to be working with them to further advance our joint European retail market activities.”
Oakland’s longstanding relationship with Roswel goes back many years, and by working collaboratively they’ve now created a new easy to access, seamless and mirrored cross-retail route for goods to travel across Europe, Ireland and the UK.
Goods travelling to Europe from Ireland and the UK go via Oakland’s UK depot, and on through Roswel’s weekly trailers to Germany, Austria, Hungary, Bulgaria, and all the way across to the shores of the Black Sea, and with high spec frozen and ambient storage facilities, and a busy chilled cross-docking station, all product is ensured to stay in optimum condition.
Roswel MD, Gerhard Roithner, stated: “We have been successfully working together with Oakland International for nearly 10 years now and have found them to be a reliable and trustworthy partner, so we think that the time is right to broaden our service range. By combining our knowledge we are able to provide a new type of service. Roswel acts as a hub for all our customers’ goods travelling to Central and Eastern Europe. Through our weekly trailers from the UK and Ireland we are able to offer a customized, flexible and personal solution to the transport needs of our clients.”
