Celebrating the best of British family-owned businesses, Oakland International has been announced as a Midlands Regional Finalist for The Innovation Award for the company’s specialist distress load management service in this year’s Red Ribbon Awards at the National Red Ribbon Awards to be held at Wembley Stadium, London on Friday 15th July 2016.
The Red Ribbon Awards, now in their 7th year, recognise the contribution of innovative and successful family businesses to the UK economy financially and as sustainable, responsible local businesses and employers.

Selected for their pioneering Distress Load Management Service, whereby Oakland reduces food losses for customers, loss adjusters and hauliers on distressed loads. The service delivers a number of environmental benefits for customers and as a responsible company working within the community; Oakland is continuing to help lead the way in innovation and industry change.
Joining previous winners such as Michel Roux Jr, Oakland’s advanced business approach has significantly reduced their carbon footprint/energy consumption through their investment in a range of energy efficient technologies and green initiatives, including the development of a pioneering Distress Load Management Service which helps reduce food losses and delivers notable environmental benefits.
A multi temperature supply chain specialist, Oakland International supplies UK and Irish retail, wholesale, discount and convenience markets from their UK and Ireland depots.
