Organisers of the inaugural ‘GlastonBeoley’ charity music festival in the village of Beoley, Worcestershire on Saturday 9th June 2018, are looking for local business support to raise funds for Deafblind UK and The Mental Health Foundation charities.
Organisers are asking businesses from across the area to donate raffle prizes or become headline sponsors of the event. One local business who has confirmed their support is Beoley-based family business Oakland International who have pledged to donate over £1,000 and offered the backing of their experienced marketing team to help organisers promote GlastonBeoley to the local and business communities. A number of other local businesses have already got behind GlastonBeoley including S Walker Transport and The Village Inn Beoley.
Oakland International Head of Marketing and Communications Hayley Smith commented: “We think GlastonBeoley is a fantastic family and community event which will help to connect people and support local businesses and our wider community.
“We’re delighted to give our backing and we urge other businesses to get involved if they can.”
Deafblind UK assists people with combined sight and hearing loss offering them help, advice, guidance and practical support. The Mental Health Foundation is the UK’s charity for mental health and campaigns for good mental health for all.
GlastonBeoley Organiser Debbie Joynes said: “Organising a festival of this kind is pretty costly and we’re determined to raise as much money as we can to go to our nominated charities.
“We’re so grateful for the help we’ve already received and leading up to GlastonBeoley we will be holding a number of fundraising events, and at each we plan to hold a raffle, so we need raffle prizes desperately, please!”
Showcasing amazing musical talent and helping to shine the spotlight on two national charities working within local communities across the country, GlastonBeoley is the first family music festival of its kind to feature local musicians and singer songwriters from across the Midlands.
