BREXIT Seminars/Workshop News

Oakland-Logo-White

Big week ahead. EU summit on 17/18th and a Saturday session for House of Commons on 19th. Can Boris pull it off? Do pigs actually fly? It’s looking like they might but, as they say, a week is a long time in politics…

To help you through this maze we are speaking at a couple of events. Both are on a workshop basis and will walk you through the border processes and also cover:-

1. What information does your Customs agent need?

2. What taxes and levies are payable?

3. What incoterms are best for me?

4. What is a Facilitated Customs Arrangement (the potential ROI/NI border solution)?

5. How does NI stay in the UK Customs territory but align with the EU Customs territory?

Details of the two events are as follows:-

ARMAGH : 16th October

Hosted by Derry Bros Shipping and held at The Armagh City hotel from 14:30 on Wednesday 16th October. This event is designed for logistics providers. Intention being that transport providers and freight forwarders can fully understand the process including health certificates and safety & security declarations. To book your place please email me, robert.hardy@oakland-international.com , to confirm your attendance and copy in brendan.nugent@derrybros.com – I hope to see you there.

LUTTERWORTH : 24th October

Hosted by Simply Supply Chain and being held at Culina Lutterworth on Thursday 24th October. This event is aimed at importers/exporters and is the second in the series. The previous event was attended by some of the largest retail brands and was very well received. “Very pertinent, practical information about BREXIT obstacles – not often heard from HMRC – shared with a very relevant group of food & drink executives” We will stress test your Brexit plans and push them to the limit to identify any weak spots. Details of this event can be found here: https://bit.ly/2MD67IN I hope to see you there.

Together we can face these challenges and create opportunities.
