Redditch parents looking for part-time roles to fit in and around family life and childcare needs are being sought by family business, Beoley-based Oakland International.

Oakland International’s longstanding policy of employee equality and operating numerous part-time roles throughout their business continues to prove popular, suiting single and working parents sharing childcare duties, as it means both parents can work.

HR Manager Kate Hewitt explains: “For many mums and dads trying to find part-time roles that fit in and around family life it isn’t easy.

“As a family business Oakland International understands the value part-time team members bring, which is why we are eager to hear from mums and dads looking for full or part-weekend or week-day flexible, family friendly part-time roles.”

Oakland International operates 24-hours/7 days a week and is an acknowledged equal opportunities employer, industry BRCGS AA rated, and a D2C/B2C/B2B specialist in contract packing, storage, picking, food distribution and a brand development support provider for ambient, chilled and frozen food to the retail, convenience, discount, wholesale and food service markets in the UK, Ireland and via their partner in Spain.

Warehouse roles include chilled line, PI (Perpetual inventory) and MHE (manual handling equipment) operatives.

Added Kate: “Oakland is committed to its family values and focused on ensuring all team members are treated equally. We have a range of chilled warehouse roles, and we regularly monitor pay rates and bonus payments as well as other factors to ensure we remain fair and equal for both part and full-time team members.

“For parents with children starting or now back at school and wanting to take on a new part-time role, we want to hear from you!”
