Family business Oakland International has been secured as a key sponsor for Redditch Entaco Cricket Club’s 2023 season.

Formed in 1848 and currently running four Saturday teams, Redditch Entaco Cricket Club is known for nurturing young talent including past players Josh Tongue of Worcestershire and England Lions who began his career at the Bromsgrove Road club and hosting high profile games involving world stars such as Tino Best, Gordon Greenidge and captain Tim Paine.

Club Treasurer Abdul Jabbar said: “On behalf of everyone at Redditch Entaco Cricket Club I would like to thank Oakland International for their very generous team sponsorship for the 2023 season.

“It has really sent a buzz through the entire team, and everyone connected with our club. The bond will enable junior cricketers to develop and flourish further as players and people and become an asset not only for the club but for the wider community.”

With close community ties the club’s broad membership champions diversity and inclusivity for all. Actively promoting youth cricket, Redditch Entaco CC’s ethos is to encourage participation not only in sport but to encourage engagement in their social calendar, welcoming purely social members for anyone who simply wishes to enjoy the club’s lively atmosphere.

Oakland International Depot Manager Luke Attwell commented: “As a local business we support neighbourhood sports clubs as and when we can as they are the grassroots and foundations by which happy environments, healthy people and strong communities are forged.

“A thriving community club engaging young people through sport, Redditch Entaco CC is a shining example, and we wish them well for the coming season.”
