Maintaining Site compliance for all team members regarding MHE/Inductions/Manual handling/Racking and fire safety across Oakland International, Bardon. Being responsible for all on site MHE.
Conduct MHE training as required and update compliance records and relevant training matrix’s/reports across site and all shifts.
Deliver face to face manual handling training to employees.
Review site manual handling procedures.
Liaise with Operations managers to maximize training needs and times for Oakland Team members.
Keep all site training/matrix records up to date ensuring legal compliance.
Ensure face to face site Inductions are completed and up to date for all new employees on Day 1 of joining.
Report all MHE breakdowns, repairs and damages to Linde engineers.
Liaise with Linde, be the main contact point for all MHE queries.
Completing daily walk arounds and MHE checks.
Controlling/ issuing MHE access fobs for all MHE vehicles and employees.
Report and action if applicable submitted near miss reports.
Oversee and manage all MHE servicing and repairs data records.
Ways of working to reduce MHE costs, damage.
To take action following on from daily walk around audits.
To prioritise all outstanding actions to ensure health and safety standards are met.
To ensure all equipment and racking is in a usable state and fit for purpose.
To coordinate repairs where appropriate and liaise with contractors.
Obtain at least 3 quotes for all work needing to be completed.
Raise purchase orders for chosen quotes and transmit to supplier.
Ensure site is compliant in line with BRC.
Complete weekly meetings with senior management to ensure all requirements are met.
Weekly action log to be updated and maintained.
To ensure all certification and permit to works are up to date.
Review site costings to ensure we are cost effective throughout the operation.
Maintain a full inventory of keys across site.
To assess problems that require professional attention, so an adequate description of the required work can be documented, to then provide correct description of works to contractors
To ensure that all tools and equipment are maintained and is in safe working order, used in accordance with manufacturers guidelines and training
Produce and maintain training material and certification for all Oakland employees.
Comply to the wearing of correct PPE for the site and specific tasks.
Maintaining legible and legal documents/notices for the site regarding MHE.
Assist with any inhouse investigations relating to MHE, Racking or fore misuse.
Reporting of failings within the site of any Health and safety rules.
To support the company in helping to maintain the product, safety, quality, legality and integrity of our food safety culture.
Keep your skills up to date with current train the trainer MHE guidance/certification.
Adhere and uphold all Oaklands Safety policies/ rules and regulations across site.
Adhere to site hygiene/food hygiene standards across site.
Assist other departments as required.
Weekly review meeting with the site Deputy GM.
Build working relationships with peers and work colleagues both within the departments and throughout the company.
Operate to high moral, personal and appearance standards.
Maintain personal discipline, time keeping and morale.
