Family business Oakland International was delighted to join other finalists at this year’s prestigious Global Freight Awards (GFA) at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London on Thursday, 19th November for its sector leading Distressed Load Management Service.
The Global Freight Awards acknowledge individuals and companies who have achieved high standards in the freight and logistics industry over the past year. Shortlisted in the Innovation Award category, Oakland’s sector leading Distressed Load Management Service reduces food losses for customers, loss adjusters and hauliers dealing with distressed loads, having consistently demonstrated recovery of circa 80% of product. Environmental benefits include waste product forwarded to nominated anaerobic digestion facilities/recycling centres for the generation of renewable energy.
