Induction
Before you join Oakland, you will receive a link to 'flick learning' and will be asked to complete elements of your induction online. It is important that it is completed before your first day. Employees will not be able to start employment with Oakland if they have not completed and passed their Food Hygiene Level 2 course. Candidates are asked to present their certificates to their managers before or on their first day with Oakland.
During your first week you will undertake further induction elements which focus on health and safety. On your first day you will also be asked to take a tour of the site where you will be introduced to your new team.
06
Probation Period
All employees joining Oakland will be required to successfully pass a 3 or 6 month probationary period before being confirmed in role. During this time you will attend a 4, 8 and 12 week review. If your probationary period is 6 months, this will be the case for 18, 22 and 26 weeks. Your probation reviews will be an opportunity for your manager to provide feedback to you about your performance in your role and for you to give feedback about how you are settling into your role. Don’t worry, there will be no surprises at these reviews and they are about helping you to be the best you can be and to settle into your new role.
Outside of your probationary period, the Company operates an Appraisal scheme. This process means that you will have the opportunity to meet with your manager on a 121 basis twice a year. This will take the form of an annual and mid-year review.
