Ready to step into a leadership role where you can make a real impact? We're looking for a dedicated Warehouse Team Leader to join our team. In this role, you'll be instrumental in ensuring an efficient operation, from allocating pick tasks to problem-solving and mentoring your colleagues. Shift Pattern: Sunday - Thursday (13:00 to 22:00) Key Tasks / Responsibilities: Principle Accountabilities & Objectives
  • Allocation and distribution of pick tasks to ensure an efficient pick and load sequence.
  • Recording of final pallet figures to ensure accurate loading.
  • Problem solving and assist management/supervisor in providing resolutions.
  • Order picking using the correct procedures.
  • Ensure correct dress code (PPE) is worn at all times.
  • To be able to work overtime as and when required to meet business needs.
  • To deliver a service level in excess of 99.5%
  • MHE signed out daily and checked along with supervisors
  • RF Guns signed in and out Daily
  • Handover Sent Daily to Managers and GM
Resource Management
  • Along with manager/supervisor monitor and control the use of resource in a cost-effective manner.
  • Actively seek training in the respective areas to enhance the flexibility of the company
  • To be involved as part of the Management team responsible for the efficient and accurate pick Operation
People/Personal Management
  • Build working relationships with peers and work colleagues both within the department and throughout the company.
  • Operate to high moral, personal and appearance standards.
  • Maintain excellent attendance and timekeeping standards
  • Ensure information is recorded correctly on daily sheets and highlight any issues to supervisor/manager paying particular attention to daily stock check sheets.
  • Communicate with your supervisor/manager daily to ensure you understand targets and schedules.
  • Liaise with stock controllers and booking in staff with regards to stock movements
Skills/Knowledge and Qualifications
  • Trained on all relevant equipment within chilled warehouse.
  • The ability to communicate with people within your area and other areas of the business.
  • Computer literate, competent on Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.

This is an excellent opportunity to become a vital part of our operations, ensuring the efficient movement and handling of frozen goods. Job Purpose: To carry out essential warehouse duties, strictly following all relevant company procedures and adhering to company policies, with a focus on maintaining product integrity in a temperature-controlled environment. Key Tasks / Responsibilities:
  • Accurate order picking using correct procedures.
  • Ensuring correct dress code (PPE) is worn at all times for safety and compliance.
  • Adhering to the "clean as you go" policy to maintain required housekeeping standards.
  • Promptly reporting any Health and Safety issues to a supervisor/manager.
  • Flexibility to work overtime as and when required to meet business needs.
  • Ensuring all consolidated pallets are at the correct height and in a safe condition.
  • Maximizing consolidation of all pallets.
  • Performing duties at management discretion when required.
  • Loading and Unloading of vehicles following correct Frozen handling procedures.
  • Monitoring product temperatures of intake and dispatch to ensure critical control points are maintained.
  • Signing out Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
  • Reporting any equipment or operational issues to a supervisor/manager.

  • Actively seeking training in respective areas to enhance the flexibility of the company.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven individual to take on a pivotal leadership role within our dynamic and growing operations. Role Overview: The Operations Manager will be responsible for the efficient and effective management of the Warehouse Team within the Open Food Department. You will ensure the team consistently delivers the high level of service required by Oakland partners, works towards departmental KPIs, and adheres to all company policies and procedures. This role is crucial in driving continuous improvement and fostering a safe, productive, and compliant working environment. Key Responsibilities will include:
  • Leading, motivating, and managing the performance of the Warehouse Team to exceed key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Understanding, communicating, and driving departmental KPIs, including managing sales losses, labour costs, and agency usage, and taking proactive action on any overspends.
  • Leading the consistent application of the Company People Management Process, including daily/weekly team briefings, performance reviews, and supporting recruitment and development initiatives.
  • Maintaining and improving a safe working environment, ensuring full compliance with Health and Safety standards, COSHH, HACCP, and MHE compliance.
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements to drive efficiency and service excellence.
  • Working cross-functionally with Customer Services, Quality Assurance, and Business Support Managers to continuously enhance service delivery.
Working Hours: Sunday to Thursday, 08:00 - 17:00, with flexibility required to meet operational demands. Salary: £35,000 per annum. Who We Are Looking For: We are seeking a candidate with a proven track record in warehouse management, strong leadership skills, and a solid understanding of health and safety and food safety requirements. The ideal candidate will be solution-focused, proactive, and dedicated to meeting and exceeding customer expectations. You should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a strong commercial awareness, and a keen motivation to elevate operational standards. Experience in a multi-temperature environment and with warehouse management systems is highly desirable. Qualifications & Experience:
  • Proven track record at understanding and managing warehouse & picking/loading performance to KPIs.
  • Experience in people management processes (disciplinary, grievance, appraisal, performance management).
  • Experience managing a sizeable operation at a Middle or Senior Management level.
  • Fully conversant with warehouse processes: Goods In, Goods Out, Picking, and Packing.
  • Sound knowledge of Health and Safety requirements, including HACCP and CCP's.
  • PC Literate (MS packages including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Possession of a Food Safety Level 2 qualification is essential.
  • A Level 5 qualification in Operations Management is ideal.

Job Description: Class 1 HGV Driver

As a Class 1 HGV Driver at Oakland International, you'll be responsible for the safe and timely delivery and collection of goods, ensuring our commitment to exceptional service is always met. Operating out of our Bardon depot, you'll be an integral part of our logistics network, upholding the highest standards of safety and compliance.  

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Daily vehicle checks and reporting of vehicle defects to ensure our fleet is always in top condition and fit for purpose.
  • Keeping vehicles clean and maintaining temperature controls in line with delivery specifications.
  • Carrying out customer deliveries and collections on time and in full.
  • Maintaining strict compliance with EU Tachograph regulations and working time directives.
  • Adhering to all Health and Safety policies at Oakland International and all sites you visit.
  • Liaising with the Transport Office promptly to escalate any issues.
  • Opportunities for nights out are available within our work patterns.
  • Supporting the Warehouse team as needed to ensure smooth operations.
  • Building strong working relationships with colleagues and customers, fostering a respectful and mutually supportive environment.
  • Actively participating in our personal performance and development process and undertaking relevant training, including Level 2 Food Hygiene.
 

What We're Looking For:

  • You must have held your Class 1 License for a minimum of 2 years.
  • A commitment to maintaining a high standard of food safety culture, product safety, quality, legality, and integrity.
 

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Average Week: 48 hours
  • Schedule: Night shift, with options for Sunday - Thursday or Tuesday to Saturday.
  • Start Times: Typically 7:00 PM - 4:00 AM.
  • Pay: £42,000.00 per year
