Production Manager
Location: Oakland International, Beoley Lane, Redditch
Hours: 9am - 6pm, Wednesday - Sunday (40 hours per week)
Salary: £35,000 PA
Contract Type: Permanent
About the role: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Manager to join our Operations department at Oakland International. This is a key role responsible for leading and motivating our D2C team to achieve and exceed site KPIs. You will be responsible for the efficient and effective management of all operatives, ensuring the team maintains the high level of service required by our partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading and motivating a team to surpass site KPIs.
- Communicating and driving departmental KPIs, including sales losses and labour costs, and managing any overspends.
- Overseeing all people management processes, such as return-to-work interviews, disciplinary investigations, and annual appraisals.
- Supporting the recruitment, selection, and management of new employees and agency staff.
- Maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring the team complies with all Health and Safety standards.
- Identifying and implementing process improvements to drive efficiency and service.
- Conducting daily/weekly team briefings and encouraging continuous improvement suggestions from team members.
- Fostering strong relationships with customers, hauliers, and suppliers.
- Proven experience in managing a sizeable operation at a Middle or Senior Management level.
- A track record of understanding and managing warehouse performance against KPIs.
- Experience with disciplinary, grievance, and performance management situations.
- Fully conversant with all warehouse processes, including Goods In, Goods Out, Picking, and Packing.
- Sound knowledge of Health and Safety requirements.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- PC literate, with the ability to use MS packages such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- A confident leader with the character to effectively lead a team.
- Formal leadership qualifications (desirable).

We are currently looking for two diligent and motivated Warehouse Operatives to join our logistics team at Oakland International. This role is crucial for our warehouse operations, focusing on picking, goods in, and dispatch. The successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring all warehouse duties are carried out accurately and efficiently while adhering to company procedures and policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out order picking, goods in, and dispatch using the correct procedures and equipment.
- Ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all tasks, with careful handling of products.
- Raising any product quality and stock control concerns with the Line Manager immediately.
- Covering all aspects of the logistics department, including goods in and picking.
- Adhering to the company's "clean as you go" policy to maintain housekeeping standards.
- Following all Health and Safety standards and reporting any issues to a supervisor or manager.
- Communicating with supervisors and managers daily to understand targets and schedules.
- Recording information correctly on daily sheets and systems (SNAP) and highlighting any issues.
- A basic level of written and verbal English, and numeracy as count accuracy is a key part of the role
- Ability to use computer based systems including Excel and Warehouse Management Systems
- A self-motivated and positive "can-do" attitude.
- Flexibility with working hours and shifts.
- Good team player.
- Experience with warehouse picking, preferably using a scanner, is desirable.
- A Level 2 Food Safety qualification is desirable.
- MHE licences are desirable.

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to lead our team. This is a hands-on role where you will manage and motivate a dedicated team to exceed key performance indicators (KPIs) and maintain the high level of service our partners expect. You will be responsible for leading by example, fostering a safe and efficient working environment, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a passion for developing people.What You'll Do:

The Opportunity:
We are looking for dedicated and reliable Warehouse Operatives to join our Freezer department at our Redditch site. This is an excellent opportunity to become a vital part of our operations, ensuring the efficient movement and handling of frozen goods.
Job Purpose: To carry out essential warehouse duties, strictly following all relevant company procedures and adhering to company policies, with a focus on maintaining product integrity in a temperature-controlled environment.
Key Tasks / Responsibilities:
- Accurate order picking using correct procedures.
- Ensuring correct dress code (PPE) is worn at all times for safety and compliance.
- Adhering to the "clean as you go" policy to maintain required housekeeping standards.
- Promptly reporting any Health and Safety issues to a supervisor/manager.
- Flexibility to work overtime as and when required to meet business needs.
- Ensuring all consolidated pallets are at the correct height and in a safe condition.
- Maximizing consolidation of all pallets.
- Performing duties at management discretion when required.
- Loading and Unloading of vehicles following correct Frozen handling procedures.
- Monitoring product temperatures of intake and dispatch to ensure critical control points are maintained.
- Signing out Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
- Reporting any equipment or operational issues to a supervisor/manager.
- Along with your manager/supervisor, monitoring and controlling the use of resources in a cost-effective manner.
- Actively seeking training in respective areas to enhance the flexibility of the company.
- Building positive working relationships with peers and colleagues across the company.
- Operating to high moral, personal, and appearance standards.
- Maintaining personal discipline, good timekeeping, and contributing to team morale.
- Ensuring information is recorded correctly on daily sheets and highlighting any issues to supervisor/manager, with particular attention to daily stock check sheets.
- Communicating with your supervisor/manager daily to ensure understanding of targets and schedules.
- Liaising with stock controllers and booking-in staff regarding stock movement.
- Trained on all relevant equipment within a chilled/frozen warehouse environment.
- The ability to communicate effectively with people within your area and other areas of the business.
- Understanding of frozen handling procedures and temperature control.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00 - 16:00.

- Daily vehicle checks and reporting of vehicle defects to ensure our fleet is always in top condition and fit for purpose.
- Keeping vehicles clean and maintaining temperature controls in line with delivery specifications.
- Carrying out customer deliveries and collections on time and in full.
- Maintaining strict compliance with EU Tachograph regulations and working time directives.
- Adhering to all Health and Safety policies at Oakland International and all sites you visit.
- Liaising with the Transport Office promptly to escalate any issues.
- Opportunities for nights out are available within our work patterns.
- Supporting the Warehouse team as needed to ensure smooth operations.
- Building strong working relationships with colleagues and customers, fostering a respectful and mutually supportive environment.
- Actively participating in our personal performance and development process and undertaking relevant training, including Level 2 Food Hygiene.
What We're Looking For:
- You must have held your Class 1 License for a minimum of 2 years.
- A commitment to maintaining a high standard of food safety culture, product safety, quality, legality, and integrity.
Job Details:
- Job Type: Full-time
- Average Week: 48 hours
- Schedule: Night shift, with options for Sunday - Thursday or Tuesday to Saturday.
- Start Times: Typically 7:00 PM - 4:00 AM.
- Pay: £42,000.00 per year
