Education / Qualifications / Licences- Desirable-- MHE licences (e.g. Reach, VNA, PPT)
- Previous warehouse experience
- Numeracy skills
- Basic level experience in using Microsoft packages (e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Quality control experience
- Stock checking / auditing experience
- Experience of using pick gun
- Flexibility of hours/shifts essential
- excellent Analytical skills
- Self-motivated/ability to use own initiative
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure

- To lead, motivate and supervise the performance of the Open Foods team in both quality and production activities to surpass the team KPI’s, ensuring the proper and most efficient methods/techniques/tools are being utilised.
- Inventory management of all packaging and bulk products to ensure consistent production.
- · To identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency and service.
- · To work with internal and external stakeholders to prioritise Open Food requirements.
- Developing a system for organising and verifying accurate order fulfilment for distribution, palletizing and labelling based on customer requirements.
- To Coordinate packing activities with team members and Management
- To maintain, improve and manage a safe working environment including the timely completion of accident investigations and any actions required. Ensuring that team members are fully aware and comply with all Health and Safety standards, company and legal requirements. E.g. COSHH, HACCP, MHE compliance.
- Responsible for monitoring and reporting of non-compliance instances with third parties.
- Lead and contribute to discussions within department, company, customers and suppliers to solve problems and make decisions.
- Obtain, evaluate and where applicable develop methods of producing information to aid decision making.
- Liaise with HR & payroll to ensure wage deadlines and any personal issues are resolved in an efficient and timely manner.
- Leading the consistent application of the Company People Management Process. This will include:
- Providing daily / weekly team briefings.
- Encouraging direct reports to contribute to continuous improvement suggestions.
- Responsibility for people management processes such as Return to Work interviews, probation reviews, annual appraisals, involvement in disciplinary investigations and meetings. Ensuring absence is managed effectively.
- Supporting the recruitment and selection process of new employees and responsibility for the management of agency staff.
- Responsibility for the training and development of the team including performance reviews and regular 1:1's.

Responsibilities
