Job Description

Displays excellent knowledge of Safety and Compliance requirements applicable to the business and actively seeks to maintain and improve processes and measures in place.  Identifies and addresses unsafe behaviors.  Encourages others to fulfil their Safety and Compliance obligations.  Ensures that company Safety and Compliance policies and procedures are always followed.

Role Model – Demonstrates understanding of and commitment to the BRCGS standard.  Acts as a custodian and role model in continuously driving and achieving the highest standards of BRCGS compliance across the company.

Analytical Skills– Demonstrates a solid understanding and knowledge of the Oakland quality systems standard and BRCGS.  Is able to identify and offer hands on support and solutions in line with continuous improvement and route cause analysis. Ensures the highest quality  is consistently followed and to support the highest achievement when assessed against the standards.

Communication skills – Demonstrates an ability to effectively communicate with key stakeholders, which include internal (colleagues and peers) and external customers.  Uses positive, professional and solution focused language in all verbal and written communications.

Commercial and business acumen– Demonstrates an understanding of the importance of achieving and maintaining the highest standards for Oakland quality systems and BRCGS and the impact of non conformance to on going business success and reputation commercial gain.

Project management – Is able to robustly support the business to understand the food safety compliance requirements of all standards when introducing new business.

Integrity– Demonstrates independence and honesty in auditing regularly against all food safety and quality standards.  Ensures an audit ready stance at all times.

Attention to detail -Has an in-depth knowledge of all standards at all times.  Is able to support the business by analyzing all gaps that are exist against the standard.  Is solution focused to address any gaps identified.

Customer service skills -Builds and maintains positive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.  Presents a professional front at all times.  Is able to feedback constructively and for the benefit and greater good of the business.

Investigation skills – Has a proven ability to conduct and conclude indepth and accurate investigations, identifying corrrective actions and providing an appropriate level of support to the responsible persons on site to complete timely

Reporting to the Head of Compliance you will be measured on:

Be on hand to advise and guide all sites against the Oakland policies and external audit standards

Assessment of compliance against Oakland policies and external bodies

A minimum of 4 full audits of each site per quarter

Identify corrective actions and see through to completion, providing an appropriate level of support to the responsible persons
