We are seeking a highly motivated person support the development of a recognized group-wide engagement programme promoting the environmental values of Oakland International. The role will be actively research, design and implement strategies to support and develop the sustainability agendas of specified Oakland business units.
Key Tasks / Responsibilities
- Net Zero Science Based Targets – support with identifying the journey plan to meeting these targets.
- Supporting B-Corp re-accreditation – helping to ensure that the re-accreditation is achieved for Oakland International.
- Work with internal stakeholders to create and deliver a plan to embed appropriate values and practices from the B-Corp standard across the Oakland group.
- Contribute to the creation of a compelling wider environmental strategy for the Oakland group.
- Support tactical projects which ensure the delivery of the overall environmental strategy.
- Produce basic tactical reports showing achievement against agreed targets for environmental behaviours, e.g. energy saving, recycling, for use by team management at site level.
- Develop and implement a clear and consistent strategy promoting environmental values and behaviours within the various workplaces within the Oakland group.
- Research environmentally beneficial technologies and solutions.
- Produce simple payback/benefit assessments showing the impact of implementing environmental measures.
- Engage and build partnerships with those stakeholders who can support Oakland International’s environmental goals.
