The Role: Warehouse Administrator - Business Support

As a Warehouse Administrator - Business Support, you'll be based in our chilled warehouse in Bardon. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in checking and verifying daily operational tasks, ensuring everything runs seamlessly. Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour Shift Pattern: 4 days on, 4 days off rotational, 07:00 - 19:00 Weekly Hours: 33-44 hours, depending on shift rotation Contract Type: Permanent

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Ensuring stock integrity: You'll be key in making sure our stock records are accurate and reliable.
  • Investigating missing stock: Putting your problem-solving skills to good use to locate any discrepancies.
  • Supporting the pick team: Assisting with finding missing stock items during the picking process.
  • Customer query resolution: Helping the admin team respond promptly to customer queries regarding pallet counts, dates, and SKUs.
  • Assisting with customer requests: Including taking product photographs or isolating specific stock.
  • Supporting new product launches: Ensuring our pickers are fully aware of any new SKUs.
  • Providing constructive feedback: Sharing your observations and suggestions with the management team to improve operations.

What We're Looking For:

Essential Skills & Experience:
  • Previous experience in a warehouse environment.
  • Strong numeracy skills.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft packages (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Self-motivated and able to use your own initiative.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Flexibility with hours and shifts is essential due to the rotational pattern.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
  • Quality control experience.
  • Stock checking or auditing experience.
  • Experience using a pick gun.
  • MHE licences (e.g., Reach, VNA, PPT) are a bonus.

Job Description: Class 1 HGV Driver

As a Class 1 HGV Driver at Oakland International, you'll be responsible for the safe and timely delivery and collection of goods, ensuring our commitment to exceptional service is always met. Operating out of our Bardon depot, you'll be an integral part of our logistics network, upholding the highest standards of safety and compliance.  

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Daily vehicle checks and reporting of vehicle defects to ensure our fleet is always in top condition and fit for purpose.
  • Keeping vehicles clean and maintaining temperature controls in line with delivery specifications.
  • Carrying out customer deliveries and collections on time and in full.
  • Maintaining strict compliance with EU Tachograph regulations and working time directives.
  • Adhering to all Health and Safety policies at Oakland International and all sites you visit.
  • Liaising with the Transport Office promptly to escalate any issues.
  • Opportunities for nights out are available within our work patterns.
  • Supporting the Warehouse team as needed to ensure smooth operations.
  • Building strong working relationships with colleagues and customers, fostering a respectful and mutually supportive environment.
  • Actively participating in our personal performance and development process and undertaking relevant training, including Level 2 Food Hygiene.
 

What We're Looking For:

  • You must have held your Class 1 License for a minimum of 2 years.
  • A commitment to maintaining a high standard of food safety culture, product safety, quality, legality, and integrity.
 

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Average Week: 48 hours
  • Schedule: Night shift, with options for Sunday - Thursday or Tuesday to Saturday.
  • Start Times: Typically 7:00 PM - 4:00 AM.
  • Pay: £42,000.00 per year
