Shift Pattern: 4 Days on 4 Days off Rotation - 0700 to 19:00 (2 Available) Location: Oakland International, Bardon Hill, Coalville We are recruiting for two Warehouse Team leaders to support our warehouse operations team within Bardon.

Key Tasks / Responsibilities:

Principle Accountabilities & Objectives
  • Allocation and distribution of pick tasks to ensure an efficient pick and load sequence.
  • Recording of final pallet figures to ensure accurate loading.
  • Problem solving and assist management/supervisor in providing resolutions.
  • Order picking using the correct procedures.
  • Ensure correct dress code (PPE) is worn at all times.
  • Ability to work overtime / be flexible
  • To deliver a service level in excess of 99.5%
  • MHE signed out daily and checked along with supervisors
  • RF Guns signed in and out Daily
  • Handover Sent Daily to Managers and GM

Resource Management

  • Along with manager/supervisor monitor and control the use of resource in a cost-effective manner.
  • Actively seek training in the respective areas to enhance the flexibility of the company
  • To be involved as part of the Management team responsible for the efficient and accurate pick Operation

People/Personal Management

  • Build working relationships with peers and work colleagues both within the department and throughout the company.
  • Operate to high moral, personal and appearance standards.
  • Maintain excellent attendance and timekeeping standards
  • Ensure information is recorded correctly on daily sheets and highlight any issues to supervisor/manager paying particular attention to daily stock check sheets.
  • Communicate with your supervisor/manager daily to ensure you understand targets and schedules.
  • Liaise with stock controllers and booking in staff with regards to stock movements

Skills/Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Trained on all relevant equipment within chilled warehouse.
  • The ability to communicate with people within your area and other areas of the business.
  • Computer literate, competent on Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

Hygiene Operative - Part Time

Location: Oakland International, Seafield Lane, Beoley, Redditch. We are recruiting for 4 Part time hygiene operatives to to work within the hygiene team maintaining hygiene standards throughout the site, in accordance with company hygiene procedures. Site Facilities Engineer

We are recruiting for a Site Facilities Engineer within our Food distribution business in Redditch. The ideal recruit will be responsible for management of the machinery on site, with specific attention on packing equipment, ensuring that it is operating in an efficient and effective manner. Ensuring the equipment is operating to optimum levels and supporting Operations with preventative and reactive maintenance of the equipment, whilst adhering to company policies and procedures 
Responsibilities of the Role
  • To Support Operational teams with mechanical equipment via training to ensure the proper and most efficient methods/techniques/tools are being utilised.
  • · Responsible for understanding, communicating and driving the department key performance indicators.
  • · To identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency and service. Including a commitment to planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and troubleshooting.
  • · To work with internal and external stakeholders to prioritise according to business requirements.
  • Developing relevant systems for routine maintenance of equipment.
  • To maintain, improve and manage a safe working environment including the timely completion of accident investigations and any actions required. Ensuring that team members are fully aware and comply with all Health and Safety standards, company and legal requirements. E.g. COSHH, HACCP, MHE compliance.
  • Responsible for monitoring and reporting of non-compliance instances with third parties.
  • ·Lead and contribute to discussions within department, company, customers and suppliers to solve problems and make decisions.
  • Obtain, evaluate and where applicable develop methods of producing information to aid decision making.
  • Inventory management of all spare parts and user manual guides for all equipment on site.
  • To participate fully in the Company’s Personal Performance and Development process and to undertake training and development relevant to your job.

Experience Required
  • Understanding of all processing equipment as well as inspection and reporting of maintenance and repair needs as they arise.
  • Previous Experience with maintenance management of industrial equipment
  • ·Experience in a multi-skilled engineering role
  • Sound knowledge of Health and Safety requirements.
  • Clear understanding of systems to ensure food safety and environmental compliance
  • Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills, with an initiative-taking approach to identifying and addressing issues.
  • A practical understanding of Open Food Production
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills (both written and verbal).
  • Can identify and reduce process steps to improve productivity and/or accuracy.
  • Keen and motivated to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Sustainability Officer

Location: Oakland International, Seafield Lane, Beoley, Redditch (With some travel to other Oakland Locations) Working Hours: Monday to Friday, With some flexibility as required

Role Purpose

We are pleased to be recruiting for a Sustainability officer to support the development of a recognised group-wide engagement programme promoting the environmental values of Oakland International. The role we will be to actively research, design and implement strategies to support and develop the sustainability agendas of specified Oakland business units.
Key Tasks / Responsibilities
  • Net Zero Science Based Targets – support with identifying the journey plan to meeting these targets.
  • Supporting B-Corp re-accreditation – helping to ensure that the re-accreditation is achieved for Oakland International.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to create and deliver a plan to embed appropriate values and practices from the B-Corp standard across the Oakland group.
  • Contribute to the creation of a compelling wider environmental strategy for the Oakland group.
  • Support tactical projects which ensure the delivery of the overall environmental strategy.
  • Produce basic tactical reports showing achievement against agreed targets for environmental behaviours, e.g. energy saving, recycling, for use by team management at site level.
  • Develop and implement a clear and consistent strategy promoting environmental values and behaviours within the various workplaces within the Oakland group.
  • Research environmentally beneficial technologies and solutions.
  • Produce simple payback/benefit assessments showing the impact of implementing environmental measures.
  • Engage and build partnerships with those stakeholders who can support Oakland International’s environmental goals.

Education / Qualifications / Licences Required Essential: 
  • 5 x GSCE A – C (inc. English & Maths)
  • 3 x A Levels A – E, or equivalent
  • Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable:
  • First degree or similar qualification
  • Professional experience in environmental role

 To ensure the site is up to BRCGS standards at all times and tour ready. To ensure all health and safety aspects around the site are adhered to, ensuring all legal compliances on health and safety of the site are being met aswell as the employees and contractors/visitors on site.
